Lithuanian Days Oct. 1st

The students will perform at Lithuanian Days on Sunday,October 1st, at 12:15 a.m.

Prior to the program, please assemble at 10 a.m. in the upper hall to meet with Lithuanian personality JURGIS DIDZIULIS  and his team, who are traveling around the world and recording their meeting with Lithuanian communities. Be part of this joyful project!

Family Mass follows at 11 a.m. in the church.

After Mass all students  assemble at the stage in the LT DAYS area.

All students are to dress in national costume!

*Rugsėjo 23 d. kiekvienoje klasėje bus pristatoma CHILD SAFETY Arkivyskupijos paruoštos pamokos.Registracijos metu prašome pasirašyti formą leidžiant savo vaikams dalyvauti pamokoje.

*Spalio 1 d. sekm., LIETUVIŲ DIENŲ SAVAITGALĮ, visi mokiniai ir tėveliai kviečiami 10 val. ryto susitikti su JURGIU DIDŽIULIU ir jo pasaulinės kelionės bendražygiais TO BE LT:KARTU AMERIKOJE projekte. Pasižiūrėkite to paties pavadinimo video utube/internete.

Seks Šeimų mišios 11 val.ir mokinių pasirodymas LT Dienų programoje 12:15 val.

*VIRTUS ,vaikų apsaugos PRIVALOMA paskaita TĖVAMS, MOKYTOJAMS, ORGANIZACIJŲ VADOVAMS ir visiems dirbantiems su vaikais,  įvyks šeštadienį, spalio 7 d. 9:30 val. viršutinėje salėje. Išklausę paskaitą,  gausite sertifikatą, kurio reikalauja arkivyskupija iš visų kurie lankosi parapijos patalpose pamokų metu, padeda mokytojams, budi kieme ar atlieka kitas pareigas su vaikais.

Welcome back to St. Casimir Lithuanian Heritage School! Thank you for your efforts in keeping  the love of the Lithuanian heritage alive in your families.

This year we will commemorate and celebrate the Centennial of Lithuania’s Independence 1918-2018 .The teachers have planned various activities and programs that will be both educational and entertaining.

In the future all announcements , weekly school news, and other communication from the school will be found on the school’s website lamokykla.com. Information will be available in both English and Lithuanian. Emails will not be the primary means of communication. However, please feel free to address individual concerns  to the teachers or M.Newsom.

Sept. 16th PARENT MEETING for all parents after flag-raising ceremonies. At least one parent from each family should attend. Changes in the use of the school grounds and child safety concerns will be addressed. Coffee and donuts!

September 23rd – Child Safety classes , as mandated by the L.A. Archdiocese, will be conducted in every class (K-12) during regular class time, using age-appropriate material (in English).Please sign a permission slip to allow your child to attend.

Oct. 1st , Sunday, the weekend of Lithuanian Days, all families and students are invited to meet  Lithuanian rock star, Jurgis Didziulis, as he travels around the world, meeting Lithuanians and promoting Lithuanian pride ! Watch youtube TO BE LT: KARTU AMERIKOJE. He and his team will be in the parish hall at 10 a.m. to entertain, interview, and film L.A. Lithuanians. Please attend. Family mass follows at 11 am. The students will open that day’s LT Days program at 12:15.

VIRTUS CHILD SAFETY LECTURE FOR ADULTS will be presented in the UPPER HALL on OCT. 7TH, 9:30 a.m. All parents who spend time in our school, volunteer in class, do yard duty , assist with lunches, substitute in classes, drive non-family children on field trips or other activities associated with Scouts or Ateitininkai, are required to attend the lecture . A VIRTUS certificate, valid for four years, will be issued.

I am looking forward to working with you this special school year. Let us make our students knowledgeable and proud of their Lithuanian heritage!

Laukiame visų 9 val. ryto mokyklos kieme. Pakelsime vėliavas ir, sekdami daugelio metų tradiciją, pradėsime mokslo metus su šv. mišiom. Po mišių, 10 val. salėje vyks mokslo metų atidarymas, registracija, ir trumpa pertrauka. Pamokos vyks įprasta tvarka – iki 1:15 val.

Rugsėjo 16 d. kviečiame  į VISUOTINĮ TĖVŲ SUSIRINKIMĄ tuoj po vėliavų pakėlimo. Išgirsite naujų, svarbių žinių apie mokyklos patalpas, vaikų saugumą, mokyklos finansus ir ateities planus. Bent vienas tėvelis iš kiekvienos mokyklinės šeimos turėtų dalyvauti. Lauksime su kava ir bandelėm!
