Last week our older students viewed the film Ashes in the Snow and met director Marius Markevičius. Thanks to Jaunimo Sąjungos leaders Gabija Petrulytę and Gintaras Baipšys, as well as to their teachers for organizing a successful event.

Lelija Kazlauskas was on the Granada Hills Charter High School winning team in the California Academic Decathlon. Their first place win takes them to Nationals later on in April. Valio Lelija! Our Lithuanian kids are the BEST!

Bishop J. Ivanauskas from Lietuva is visiting St. Casimir Parish and will be at the school Saturday. He will conduct spiritual talks in church at 10:30 am. All parents are welcome.

The parish fundraiser Laisvės Alėja takes place this Sunday 3/31 after Mass. Come and support your parish, the only Lithuanian parish west of the Mississippi.

Class pictures will be taken April 6th and 13th . If students miss school on those days, they will not appear in the yearbook’s class photo .

Easter Confessions and First Reconciliation takes place on April 13th. Confessions are heard in both languages.

That same day children’s book author from Lithuania, Evelina Daciute, will be visiting Kiškiai through third grade. Parents are welcome to sit in on her interactive lessons.
